FIFA Finds No Suspicious Betting During the 2026 World Cup

Switzerland.- 22 July 2026 www.zonadeazar.com The FIFA Integrity Task Force monitored betting markets and on-field activity in real time across all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup. Its analysis found no suspicious betting activity or indications of potential match manipulation.

The international governing body concluded its integrity operations after reviewing every match played during the tournament hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Throughout the competition, FIFA centralised betting-monitoring reports, data provided by participating organisations and information received through the available reporting mechanisms.

The information was analysed and shared among Task Force members in accordance with established procedures, allowing them to coordinate their response to any potential alert.

All 104 Matches Monitored in Real Time

The integrity operation simultaneously examined movements across betting markets and activity on the field.

According to FIFA, the information collected throughout the tournament revealed no suspicious betting activity or signs of potential match manipulation in connection with any of the 104 fixtures.

The structure enabled the rapid assessment of possible irregularities by combining the expertise of sporting bodies, law-enforcement agencies, government organisations and specialist monitoring companies.

International Network Against Match Manipulation

The Task Force included all six continental confederations, the football associations of Canada, Mexico and the United States, the FBI, INTERPOL, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Council of Europe.

Sportradar, the International Betting Integrity Association, United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports, IC360, Genius Sports, government agencies and independent experts also participated.

Liam Rich, FIFA’s Senior Integrity Manager, said the Task Force provided a strong framework for sharing intelligence, assessing potential concerns and coordinating timely responses throughout the competition.

Cooperation to Continue at Future Tournaments

FIFA will continue working with Task Force members to protect its upcoming competitions, including youth tournaments scheduled for later in 2026 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.

The governing body also intends to strengthen its integrity strategy through cooperation with confederations, member associations and other stakeholders involved in the global fight against match manipulation.
