iGB L!VE Strengthens Sustainability Commitment
United Kingdom.– June 09, 2026 – www.zonadeazar.com World Gaming has announced the second phase of its sustainability programme for iGB L!VE 2026, scheduled to take place in London on 1–2 July. The initiative expands on measures first introduced at ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona and aims to further embed environmental responsibility across the global gaming industry.
Overview
Following the positive results achieved at ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona earlier this year, World Gaming, formerly Clarion Gaming, has confirmed that sustainability will remain a central pillar of its event strategy.
The organisation plans to introduce a range of measures designed to reduce environmental impact, encourage responsible practices among exhibitors and contractors, and strengthen sustainability awareness throughout the gaming community.
Details / Context
Among the key initiatives planned for iGB L!VE are the implementation of the Better Stand Programme, the launch of the first iGB L!VE Sustainable Stand Award, the use of fully recycled carpets throughout exhibition areas and the distribution of plastic-free badge holders to all attendees.
According to Portfolio Director Margaret Dunn, the organisation’s primary objective is to promote environmental and social responsibility throughout the gaming sector.
She highlighted that 56% of segregated waste generated during ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona was recycled, compared with 47% in 2025. In addition, 90% of the event features were fully reusable, with the ambition of reaching 100% at future editions.
Specific Topics
Better Stand Programme
The Better Stand Programme provides a sustainability certification framework based on Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
Participating exhibitors are required to demonstrate responsible practices related to stand design, waste reduction, sustainable materials and environmentally conscious travel arrangements.
Sustainable Stand Award
A major addition to this year’s event will be the introduction of the first iGB L!VE Sustainable Stand Award, recognising exhibitors that achieve the highest environmental standards in stand construction and operation.
Barcelona achievements
At ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona, twenty exhibitors achieved Gold certification, representing the highest level of sustainability within the programme.
Stockholm-based Internet Vikings received the award for the most sustainable stand, setting a benchmark for future editions.
Future Perspective
Sustainability is becoming one of the defining priorities of major international gaming events. The growing involvement of exhibitors, suppliers and organisers demonstrates the industry’s transition towards more environmentally responsible operating models.
Through the expansion of these initiatives in London, World Gaming aims to position iGB L!VE as a leading platform for sustainable event practices within the global gaming and betting industry.
