During the interview, Groves explained that one of the most important applications of AI in the poker ecosystem is the detection of collusion among players, “chip dumping,” bonus abuse, and other fraudulent conduct.

According to the executive, these tools make it possible to analyze enormous volumes of data in real time and automatically detect suspicious hands, assigning different risk levels to facilitate the work of platform administrators.

“The goal is not to replace the human factor,” he explained. “AI identifies potential problems, but the final decision always rests with an expert.”

Groves also highlighted how Artificial Intelligence is enhancing the player experience through content personalization, making it possible to offer promotions, games, and recommendations tailored to each user’s behavior and preferences.

When referring to the Latin American market, he noted that it has characteristics very different from those of the United States. In his view, operators are increasingly turning to influencers and creative marketing strategies to circumvent regulatory restrictions on advertising.

In addition, he emphasized the importance of localization—both in terms of language and in offering products and payment methods tailored to each country, where there is still a strong preference for in-person transactions and local agents.
