Panama to Host the 11th Ibero-American Gaming Summit

Panama’s Gaming Control Board, which operates under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, will serve as the institutional host of the international meeting.

The summit will bring together regulators, public authorities, operators, suppliers and specialists from different Ibero-American markets to exchange knowledge and examine the industry’s principal challenges.
The event was created as a forum for regulatory debate, the sharing of experience, stronger cooperation between jurisdictions and the development of a sector with increasing economic importance across the region.
Selecting Panama reinforces the country’s position as a connection point between Latin America, Europe and other international markets associated with land-based and digital gaming.
Industry Context
Panama recorded approximately US$2.938 billion in gross revenue from casino and gambling activities during 2025, representing an increase of 15% compared with the previous year.
Across the region, Latin America’s regulated online gambling market is expected to reach annual revenue of US$6.75 billion by 2027, compared with US$1.51 billion recorded in 2023.
Globally, the combined land-based and digital gambling industry exceeded US$642 billion in 2025, as Latin America continued to establish itself as one of the sector’s fastest-growing regions.

Organisers are expected to announce the specific venue, conference programme, participating authorities and sponsorship and networking opportunities during the coming months.
Hosting the event will allow Panama to present its regulatory development and strengthen relationships with public bodies and gaming companies from other Ibero-American jurisdictions.
