SOFTSWISS Strengthens Casino Platform with Kubernetes
Malta.- 22 July 2026 www.zonadeazar.com SOFTSWISS has completed the first production migration of its Casino Platform to Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE). The deployment forms part of a broader technology modernisation programme designed to improve scalability, stability and the delivery of new platform features.
News Details
The first production casinos are already operating on the new architecture, with additional deployments planned across the Casino Platform portfolio.
Operators moving to the updated environment will not need to change their integrations, workflows, compliance procedures or daily operations. This will enable them to modernise their infrastructure without disrupting their businesses.
The architecture introduces automated workload management and self-healing capabilities. These functions are intended to increase platform resilience, maintain stability during traffic spikes and improve performance during periods of heightened player activity.
The migration will also support faster delivery of product updates, integrations and new features, while providing the scalability required for operator growth and expansion into additional markets.
Industry Context
The project was delivered in collaboration with Oracle, which provided cloud-native technologies and engineering expertise throughout the migration.
The transformation required SOFTSWISS to redesign core Casino Platform components, rebuild deployment pipelines, modernise monitoring tools and introduce new operational practices. The company had already used Kubernetes for shared infrastructure services but has now extended the architecture across production workloads.
For iGaming operators, the ability to manage and scale resources automatically is particularly important during major sporting events, promotional campaigns and unexpected increases in users or transactions.
Statements
SOFTSWISS Chief Technology Officer Sergey Kastukevich said:
“Kubernetes has been the backbone of our shared infrastructure services for years, supporting our core services as they scaled.”
He added:
“Extending the entire Casino Platform to the same cloud-native architecture was a natural progression. Beyond modernising the underlying infrastructure, this transformation gives us greater operational consistency, more efficient workload orchestration and faster, more reliable software delivery.”
Oracle Cloud Native Black Belt Leader Marta Tolosa stated:
“The successful migration of a platform of this scale demonstrates the strength of the SOFTSWISS engineering organisation and its commitment to continuous improvement.”
Next Steps or Impact
The Kubernetes migration represents the first stage of a wider transformation across the Casino Platform portfolio. SOFTSWISS will continue rolling out the architecture to additional production environments and investing in technologies that allow operators to grow without compromising availability or performance.
The company will also share technical insights covering infrastructure architecture, cloud technologies and software delivery at the upcoming Tech Race Summit.
