The master classes will take place in the Academy & Live Training area (C192), next to the Global Markets Lounge, between entrances 2 and 3, from September 24 to 26, at the Lisbon International Fair, in Portugal.

The master class will feature Jonathan Smith, founder of Sportsbook Training Services, who has over 25 years of experience in the betting industry. Smith has held various odds compilation positions for major fixed-odds and spread betting companies in the UK.
On Tuesday, participants will delve into Introduction to Odds Compiling. During the session, they will learn the basic principles, including the mathematical theories and statistical models behind odds compilation. The session will explore the origins of pricing, both in theory and practice, how data providers create odds, and what exactly is being purchased from them. Additionally, participants will learn strategies for predicting sports outcomes more accurately.
On Wednesday, in Practical Demonstration – Euro 2024 Final, a practical demonstration focused on a Premier League match will guide participants on pricing a football match, creating core markets, and developing reserves and alternative markets while explaining how this integrates with BetBuilders.

Led by Lucien (Lucas) Wijsman, known for his role in The Slot Academy, now Electronic Gaming Academy, who has extensive experience advising land-based casino operators throughout Europe and other regions of the world.

Master Class on Counterterrorism, Crisis Response, and Cybersecurity
Led by Noel G. Whelan, whose 30-year career spans military and counterterrorism environments, holds a Master’s in Counterterrorism and Security from the University of Leeds.
On Tuesday, the session Surviving the Corporate Red 10 will provide a simulated crisis experience, enhancing leadership and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations. Key takeaways include creating strategies, crisis response methods, leadership techniques, advanced public speaking, and establishing an emergency chain of command.
Wednesday’s session, Become a Deterrent against Terrorism & Money Laundering, will focus on understanding the risks non-state actors pose to the digital economy and developing strategies for protection against exploitation.
On Thursday, the session Counterterrorism Crisis Response & Cybersecurity: Avoiding the Victim State will address defense against cyber-attacks, highlighting risk identification, internal vulnerabilities, and creating tailored strategies to protect the company’s assets and reputation.
