Genius Sports Drives 17% Football Margin Growth

Genius Sports has reported strong football trading results for the 2025/26 domestic season, with its Edge margin optimisation software delivering a 16.6% increase in football margins for sportsbook operators.

The automated solution adjusts odds based on liabilities across all market types and generated significant growth across major competitions, including the UEFA Champions League (+34%), Premier League (+22%), La Liga (+21%), Serie A (+17%) and Ligue 1 (+16%).

Official data partnerships continued to provide industry-leading uptime. The Premier League achieved 98% overall uptime, with 158 matches exceeding 99%, while Serie A reached 97% uptime and Ligue 1 remained above 95%.

Throughout the season, Genius Sports migrated all 89,000 in-play football events to new Monte Carlo simulation models, enhanced Match State data with player-level information and expanded its player proposition markets.

The company also broadened its football betting portfolio with player markets including shots, shots on target, score or assist, fouls and goalkeeper saves across pre-match, in-play and BetBuilder products.

Meanwhile, BetVision, Genius Sports’ interactive live-streaming solution, delivered a 22% increase in customer retention compared with traditional streaming experiences. Brazil’s Serie A recorded a 53% increase, while the Turkish Super Lig saw a 35% uplift.
